Your Truth Matters

There is a voice whispering in your ear. It tells you about all kinds of things. Some of it is a lie. Some exaggerations. Some of it is truth. Yet, you have your own truth. You can feel it within you. It is like a soft, light, glow. Something that is always with you. Your truth is something you always find comfort in.

But there are things in the world that would prefer you hide your truth. They spew lies, doubts, judgments, and invalidation. At first, you run, holding your truth sheltered in the arms and molded to the core of your body. Until you are dripping with sweat.

Finally, when you are cornered and there is nothing left to do, you unleash the light of your truth. At first, in anger. Then, as a sensuous release, you surrender. Your truth swells and flows from within you. Everything begins to change before your eyes. What you once feared becomes less scary. You consider, was it nothing to fear at all? The very foundation gracefully blooms with color as the darkness melts away.

You laugh, finding amusement. It was silly to have been afraid of this or them. With forgiveness, you see the hate you’ve handled. You witness the fragility behind it; how it shrinks in size, takes human form — there is a humanity to all of this. Their human grief. You forgive that grief. Then you move forward in your experience, enveloped by the beauty of your truth.
